We just finished our drive to Alaska and things are definitely different. I don’t know how many times I’ve done the drive through Canada, but I think this one won’t be forgotten. What was so different? How many bags of milk did we buy? Did we see some mooses (moose? meese?)? Where do we even start? Do you want to hear the most annoying sound? Plug in your camper with a squealing power converter. It would send a banshee crying like a baby back to it’s nest cursing the sky. The same sky where a ring wraith would give back the ring of power in the hopes that it would stop the incessant squeal. Now that I think about it, there is a ring on the power converter and it’s possible that it was crying out for it’s master. We are finally out of Alaska and ready to start wandering again! The rona has definitely caused us a number of problems this time around and we created\/changed our plans probably 20 times in 2 days. Being of the wandering sort means learning how to be flexible. Where to begin the tale? We spent most of the covid-19 lockdown in Juneau, Alaska because it’s beautiful and generally away from all the crazies.
